Bear Frenzy VII: Meet & Greet
|
Boy, was the Cave ever that crowded on a Friday night? Tons (literally!) of bear folk poured in and out of the bar, hungry to greet their future meat! Many people stopped by just to see a few famous faces, who came to Fresno especially for Bear Frenzy!

Fran Frisch put out his bear art all over the bar and attracted quite a group of people to the drawings. Contestants were fluffing the judges, entertainers were getting ready to entertain the following evening, everyone seemed to have a great time! The bartender (thanks, Blas!!!) was definitely up to par and the music was just right!

It was great to see people from as far as Seattle (ok, one bear, but still!) but mostly locals and some from LA, SF, Sacramento, Bakersfield... seeing as we were up against Bear It In The Desert in Palm Springs, the IGRA Rodeo in Sacramento, and the Gay Pride in Reno the very same weekend, we sure attracted quite a few bears from out of town! Programs were being distributed so that everyone knew who what where and when. Badges were made so that the judges, contestants and entertainers stood out in the crowd. And my feet hurt like hell from running around for several hours, making sure everything was to everyone's liking!

After the bears had their share of
beer and/or soda, a small (18-person) group ventured out to the gay Denny's for
a late-night snack. Another hour and a half (service WAS slow) in great
company... and then off we went, some to our homes, some to their hotel rooms,
and the rest wherever they could :) Luckily we didn't have to get up early the
following morning! The pool party wouldn't start till 1pm on Saturday!
